Mannum IGA Fresh Open 3 Bowl Pairs
On Saturday 2nd April Mannum hosted the IGA 3 Bowl Pairs competition. Conditions for play were perfect and the strong field of twenty two sides bowled it out for top position during the day.
Two games, one of 12 ends and one of 10 ends, were played before lunch. Five of the teams won both games and the pressure was on for the final game after lunch and drinks. Four of these teams went on to win the final game and after a countback the top three sides were sorted out.
Coming in first on 89 points was Charlie diSanto and Jim Brandle (Murray Bridge), second on 88 points was Garry Fowler and Martyn March (Mannum) and third on 85 points was Gerry Penta and Peter White (Murray Bridge).
Chairman, Gary Odgers, presented the prizes to the winners and congratulated all players for supporting the event and making it such a great success.
